Oslo, Norway: For AW 17, Viking Outdoor Footwear has combined its long history in rubber galoshes with its new Urban Outdoor collection. The results are the new model Utflukt Leather, a casual, sneaker styled shoe with a trendy rubberized touch.
Nearly 100 years after producing its first pair of galoshes to tackle the wet weather, harsh climate and slippery surfaces found in Norway, Viking has taken its rubberized concept to the next level. Utflukt Leather is the new standout model for men and women that features durable and waterproof rubber rands surrounding the entire shoe. This create a trendy, mid cut urban shoe that holds its own on snowy and slushy streets.
Utflukt Leather is made from top quality leather with an exclusive appearance and features a breathable polyester tongue and top-to-bottom lacing with hiking boot details.
On the inside, Utflukt has a soft fleece cuff and insulated lining that deliver excellent warmth and comfort, and a Nordic last with heel grip will keep your foot in place. A molded and removable insole, cushions the step while adding support on long walks around town.
To ensure good traction, a rubber outsole with a unique pattern provides excellent grip on surfaces wet, dry, and everything in between. From tip to toe, Utflukt delivers both comfort and performance in style.
Utflukt Leather comes in both Men’s and Women’s specific versions and will be available in dedicated shoe retailers beginning in the autumn of 2017. Available in Black and Dark Brown.
