Oslo, Norway: Viking Outdoor Footwear has developed Svartisen, a new winter boot for adults demanding the highest warmth, combined with a timeless style.
When Winter goes into a deep freeze, it is even more important to have the right footwear. To ensure, warm and comfortable feet with a modern style that can be worn anywhere, Viking developed Svartisen. This hybrid thermo boot provides powerful warmth, prevents water from getting in and wicks moisture away from the foot.
Durable and supportive, the boot is made with a construction that blends an exclusive suede leather shaft that repels snow and wet weather with a BASF Polyurethane (PU) shell that is 100 percent waterproof. PU is biodegradable, contains millions of tiny air bubbles and stays soft in any temperature. The result is a boot that keeps feet warm and dry down to -25 °C.
To help with warmth, there is a removable, 6mm wool blend felt lining inside of each boot. Wool is highly insulating even when moist and is also naturally antibacterial, which helps to prevent odors. For durability, there is also a reinforced heel counter.
Great foot comfort is provided by Viking’s proven Nordic last that can be found in all models. It gives a snug, but slightly wider fit and leaves some extra toe space for better mobility and circulation. For further adjustment, the boot has a durable lacing system with a lace lock that is easy to operate even with gloves on.
For maximum grip on snow and ice, the sole of the boot has a deep lug pattern that provides high traction. With a great look and feel, Svartisen is definitely a model to check out before temperatures begin dropping. Available in Mustard/Black, Charcoal/Black.
