Already in 2016 Viking Footwear has presented the GORE-TEX® surround product technology in some of its high-end models of the ACTIVE OUTDOOR collection. Redesigned and packed with further innovative functions, the collection 2017 takes it even one step further!
The GORE-TEX® surround product technology offers a 360° breathability and water resistance. Those outstanding characteristics are enabled by a special “open” sole construction, which leads to perfect transpiration of humidity from the inside of the shoe, even through the shoes sole. Special openings, so called spacers, are placed at the sides and connected by an ingenious venting system to guarantee maximum breathability. And the new fresh, loud colors for 2017 give you incredible good looks yet when you´re outdoors.
The KULING MID GTX and the DIS BOA GTX are two models of Vikings OUTDOOR ACTIVE collection that feature this innovative GORE-TEX® system and combine it with further cutting-edge technologies to offer the perfect shoes for hiking and trekking adventures.
Whilst the KULING MID is a mid-cut hiking boot for rougher terrain which demands more stability for the feet, the DIS BOA is a low-cut trekking shoe that gives your feet a bit more freedom of movement. Both models consist out of semitransparent ripstop, making them both, light and unbelievable durable. The inner lining is made out of synthetic material, providing very high wearing comfort in combination with the Scandinavian last and is also doing its part to keep the shoes super-light-weighted. As well the KULING MID as the DIS BOA are equipped with an EVA midsole, in order to absorb impacts and vibrations the best way possible. Furthermore, both models user Vikings very own UGC® outsole, guaranteeing perfect grip on virtually any surface, no matter whether dry, wet, muddy or rocky terrain. While the KULING MID comes with a lace-lock-system for ideal fit adjustment, has the DIS BOA the new BOA-two-way-system, allowing an easy adaption of the fit by simply turning the wheel on the top of the shoe. KULING MID and DIS BOA, are available as male and female versions with specific lasts for men and women and color up your outdoor life by their brand new and modern colors.
