SOG Privacy Policy

1. PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Scandinanavian Outdoor Group Ekonomisk Förening (Orgnr 769609-6143) is personally responsible and processes personal information for communication purposes. Personal Data Responsibility is responsible for all processing of personal data in accordance with applicable legislation.

 

2. WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION

Scandinanavian Outdoor Group (SOG) protects your privacy and always protects your personal information with the technical and organizational measures that are required in each case and we ensure that your treatment is in accordance with applicable law.

 

3. WHAT KIND OF PERSONAL DATA DO WE HANDLE?

We collect some personal information about you to be able to communicate with you. In some cases, your personal data may have been supplemented with information from other sources regarding your professional role, from which we judged a particular event to be of interest.

– Name, company, address (only to companies), position, telephone number, e-mail address, country
– Communication between you and SOG
– Traffic information provided by your browser, such as browser version, language, address of the page you came from and other traffic information such as IP address

 

4. AS LONG AS WE SAVE YOUR DATA

SOG saves your data as long as we need for our reported purposes, taking into account that we want to maintain a good relation. We also take into account legal requirements to retain certain information for a long time, such as financial traceability. We can thus keep your personal information a reasonable period after your last interaction with us. When the data no longer meets the purpose of the processing, these data will be deleted or anonymized.

 

5. YOUR RIGHTS

We want to be transparent about how we treat your data and if you want to get more knowledge about the personal data processing that is being done, you have the right to request access to your information provided by us. If we receive a request for access, we may ask for additional information to ensure what information you want to share and to provide the information to the correct person. You are always entitled to request that your personal information be corrected if the information is incorrect. Within the stated purpose, you also have the right to supplement any incomplete personal data. To do so, please send us this updated information to the address below.

 

You also have the right to request that your personal information with us be deleted (see below for cases where we can’t meet your request). You can unsubscribe from receiving information from SOG at any time, you can also specify which information you wish to receive. You may click “Unsubscribe” in our news mail or send an e-mail to info@scandianavianoutdoorgroup.com. Your details will be deleted from our database within 60 days of notifying us.

 

We can’t delete data where there are statutory storage requirements, such as accounting rules. Nor can we delete data when there are legitimate reasons why the data must be saved, for example regarding unpaid debts.

 

6. CLEANING AND UPDATING OF DATABASE

For us it is important to have a correct database and for this purpose we have resources such as:

– Continuous cleaning and updating of the database.
– Cleaning e-mail bounces and updating records after post is returned.

7. SUBCONTRACTORS

SOG is responsible for the processing of your personal data in accordance with applicable law on personal data handling. SOG may use subcontractors (“Personal Data Counselors”) to process your personal information for the above-mentioned purposes. SOG can, for example, use personal data advisors to handle data storage on external servers, IT and customer support, conduct customer analyzes, and analyze the user experience and use of the service. Personal Data Counselors will have similar obligations as the person responsible for processing your personal information.

Since our personal information services can be geographically located both inside and outside the EU/EEA, your personal data may be shared and transferred within and outside the EU/EEA, which means that your personal data can be transferred to geographical areas where you may have less protection for your personal data. SOG primarily uses assistants to achieve an adequate level of protection through the Privacy Shield Framework or through the signed Data Protection Agreement.
