The extra rounded safety tip, together with the high quality blade, makes a perfect combination for kids woodcarving. It prevents sticking injuries, while the blade still is sharp – so that the woodcarving can be performed easily without having to “force” the woodcarving object.

SUSTAINABILITY

All materials are locally made in Sweden, with a natural wooden handle. Morakniv Rookie is made from natural, non-toxic material. The natural untreated wooden handle makes it extra beneficial from an environmental perspective, especially in comparison to materials such as plastics, or painted wood (where the color often contains toxic substances). Of course extra important aspects when it comes to a product intended for children. The stainless steel blade is treated to stay sharp for a very long time, which also makes it very durable. It’s also possible to re-sharpen it to even further lengthen the life span.
