The style unites various sustainable attributes and materials in a Scandinavian-design lifestyle shoe. This supple sneaker is traceable, but what does that really mean? All the nubuck leather used in the manufacturing process comes from Germany or Denmark, and meets the criteria for the Leather Working Group’s ‘gold standard’ (LWG). What’s more, it’s tanned using the resource-saving DriTan process, which uses significantly less water than conventional tanning processes. The cushioning in the sole partly comprises BloomFoam, a natural material extracted from parasitic algae, which would otherwise end up polluting the world’s seas. The RB9X outsole guarantees a reliable grip, including on wet asphalt or damp tiles.
