Primary innovation features

The Strandåtind AirFlake Jacket uses a new insulation technology as filling material: Air Flake® is a synthetic fiber made from polyester yarn that is as soft and comfortable as down, but shows a number of advantages of synthetic fibers, such as a very high breathability and reversibility. It feels like down and looks like down – but it dries faster and provides insulation even when wet!

Intended specific end use

The Strandåtind AirFlake Jacket is a light and warm jacket for ski touring or wintry mountain tours. It is especially suited for a high level of activity due to its breathability as well as staying comfortable and warm even when wet.

Specific Features

The stretchy outer shell of this light and warm jacket is windproof and water-resistant. Unlike down, Air Flake® is processed as a continuous insulation layer. Although it can be compressed and recovers well, the material is suitable for persons with asthma and allergy.
