Lightweight expedition backpack now with adjustable back length feature
The Helium backpack is extremely light yet very robust. It is particularly popular with mountaineers and on expeditions, and it has been an integral part of the Bergans backpack range for a long time. It has now been completely redesigned for the 2016 season and the new adjustable back length feature has been added. The new feature is based on the newly developed and comfortable Quick Adjust™ PRO back system, which can be adjusted in an instant to the wearer’s desired position.
The robust yet slim backpack still only weighs in at one kilogram – with a volume of 55 liters and a considerable load capacity of up to 17 kg. The small 40-liter version only weighs 940 g, but has as much load capacity as its bigger brother. Both sizes are available for women and men; the backpack’s back length, shape of shoulder and the 3D hip belt allow for the differences in male and female anatomy.
Other unique selling points of the new Helium backpack by Bergans include the long and user-friendly zip opening at the front (for easy access to the main compartment), a removable and height-adjustable top lid and the flexible adjustment mechanisms of the slim, diagonally arranged compression straps (depending on use and load).
