MOTIVATION FROM THE JURY

If you are looking for the perfect pants for backcountry skiing, backpacking or hiking during fall and winter, the Fjällräven Keb Touring Trousers do the job. Constructed from PVC-free, partially recycled Stretch fabric, they allow great freedom of movement and the reinforcements (bum, knees, inner leg) are made from G-1000 Eco material that can be treated with environmentally friendly Greenland Wax for increased water repellency. All the features are right, too. Fjällräven… the trouser company!

PRIMARY INNOVATION FEATURES

A pair of technical trekking trousers designed to let you move freely on foot or skis in variable terrain. Design solutions include adaptable leg endings that work equally well with regular hiking boots as with ski touring boots. The hybrid construction combines a double-woven, partially recycled stretch fabric, and Fjällräven’s durable and nature-friendly G-1000 Eco fabric. This makes for long-lasting and multi-functional trousers that offer excellent mobility, ventilation and protection from weather and wear. Main fabric is a robust, weather-resistant and ventilating four-way stretch fabric with PFC-free DWR.

INTENDED SPECIFIC END USE

Designed for winter trekking and backcountry adventures during fall and winter. The four-way stretch fabric optimizes your move without restrictions in exposed terrain. The trousers also work for different activities as the leg endings can be adapted to fit different types of boots. Particularly useful for varying intensity levels as they offer great ventilation.

SPECIFIC FEATURES

Keb Touring Trousers is designed with a variety of functions and features. They are reinforced with hardwearing, wind and water-resistant G-1000 Eco fabric on the rear, knees, leg endings and inside lower legs. Thanks to the articulated legs and gusset in crotch it provides freedom of movement. Constructed with loops at the waist for gear attachment.

SUSTAINABILITY INFORMATION

Unlike bonded fabrics, double woven fabrics use no glue, which means less chemicals are involved in production. Other benefits are that they release more moisture and age well. The washability is better and there is no risk of delamination. For enhanced longevity and protection, exposed sections are reinforced with Fjällräven’s durable G-1000 Eco fabric, made from recycled polyester and organic cotton. Fjällräven products are made to last for a lifetime and hopefully even for generations.
