SCANDINAVIAN OUTDOOR AWARD to… DEVOLD
After two days of hard outdoor testing in demanding weather conditions and lively discussions, the international jury of outdoor journalists and retailers have come up with the winners of Scandinavian Outdoor Award for next year’s fall/winter season. 23 strong and innovative products were nominated, all from some of the 67 brands within Scandinavian Outdoor Group. The Overall Winner is… Devold! The Norwegian company from Langevåg, and the oldest company within the Scandinavian Outdoor Group, have just been awarded the Overall Winner of Scandinavian Outdoor Award with a technical and innovative underwear in merino wool.
In total seven products received a Scandinavian Outdoor Award for FW 2019/20 and Norway is the big winner with outstanding products from Devold, Aclima, Viking and Bergans. Then Denmark, Sweden and Finland received one Award each: Ecco (Denmark), Icebug (Sweden) and Kupilka (Finland).
OVERALL WINNER: Devold/Tusna Sport Air

Is there a bigger compliment for garments«, one tester raves about the women’s merino underwear Tusna Sport Air from the Norwegian brand Devold. The key to the outstanding performance is the mix of different merino fabrics. Devold combines merino-mesh and classical knitted underwear fabrics with a new 3D rib material that allows moisture evaporate quickly. This improves comfort because the air pockets in the 3D construction regulate the body heat better than conventional merino fabrics and shorten the drying time. Depending on whether the rips are facing towards the body (more insulation) or are on the outside (less insulation) you can adapt the underwear to the amount of warmth needed. Due to the high stretch of the garment and the perfect patterning, the fit is great and makes you look even better. An outstanding product for all kind of activities and for every temperature excluding warm summer days.
