Circular & responsible collection for autumn-winter ‘22

The over 75-year-old kids’ wear brand Reima has taken on the task of gearing up the next generation of happy, active kids ready for the world to come. For autumn-winter ’22, Reima presents a collection of apparel and footwear that’s more sustainable than ever before.
Reima, with its headquarters in Finland, is leading the market for durable, protective kids’ outerwear. Exporting not only clothes but also the Nordic way of parenting, Reima wants to enable kids’ free movement and play. The company offers high-quality, tip-to-toe gear, perfected down to the smallest detail, for kids from 0 to 12 years. Recently, this kids-only producer of performance wear for all climates has especially expanded its collections of innerwear and footwear.
Durability and versatility go hand in hand
This autumn, Reima has reached one important milestone: all insulations are 100% recycled! For a Reima garment to be called sustainable, its main material must meet one or more of these criteria:
- monomaterial/easy to recycle
- minimum 40% recycled fibre content
- bluesign® approved
- with Responsible Wool Standard certified wool
- the cotton/hemp is organic
But Reima doesn’t only look at the material. The design needs to be durable too. It must defy time and be usable in many ways, preferably across many seasons, and on more than just one kid. Users can attach several Reima garments to others and wear them as part of a versatile layered dressing concept.
A comfortable school year starts with organic and recycled

Sweatshirts, hoodies and pants from recycled fibres are the basis of an easy-care back to school wardrobe for active juniors. The synthetic materials all manage moisture well, need less washing and dry quickly.
The other option is organic cotton that’s a comfortable material for the French terry tops and dresses. All Reima innerwear gets an additional warm-up from the fun new pile items, which of course contain plenty of recycled fibres.
On rainy days, carefree softshell jackets and durable PVC free rainwear come to the rescue. When it gets chilly, a light down jacket or vest is the pre-teen’s armour of choice.

Transition from autumn to winter, together with the weather

Reima’s late autumn collection features plenty of monomaterial solutions. Those include not only performance outerwear, but also soft warmer items to wear underneath. Users can register the garments for takeback by Reima. This way, we can turn the valuable raw material into something new, instead of dumping or incinerating it. The jackets match with organic & recycled Reima jeans, or with Reimatec pants when it’s rainy.

Another great innovation is Reima’s waterproof Coffee Bean fabric that’s crafted into puffy autumn and winter gear for kids to enjoy, whether in the city or nature. The classic 2-in-1 jackets pair well with colourful fleece hoodies – these versatile combos can change when the weather does.
Responsible wool and eco-friendly Tencel® are a favourite material duo for layers, especially the ones worn next to skin. Of those, one can choose cheerful all-over patterns or current solid colour versions.
Durable shoes for a durable future
You can spot eco-efficient hemp in some Reima autumn sneakers. The Vibram soles containing recycled rubber are another step toward a greener future.

For rainy days, Reima offers traditional rain boots. But when the weather is less predictable, the dry facts speak for vegan-friendly Reimatec sneakers and boots that come with a waterproof insert. The classic Reimatec shoes Wetter and Passo have evolved to stage 2.0. They now boast better water management and a flatter, more ergonomic sole.
A whole family of new Reima winter boots is ready to help kids step into the snow. According to standard cold tests, many styles offer sufficient insulation for -20 °C. Megapito, Reima’s new Arctic hero with novel Traction Lug technology by Vibram, even reaches -30 °C.

Saving the winters for our kids

Winter play is a job best done wearing Reimatec winter gear. Waterproof and breathable, the durable and functional Reimatec range is Reima’s core. Now with lots of recycled in the materials, these popular styles help diminish our impact on the climate. The characteristic prints many parents and kids love are visible in several kid-friendly styles. For those who want a calmer look, Reima Original parkas and solid colour snowsuits are a winning choice.
Ski consciously

Reima’s ski collection for the season 2022-23 takes the climate into account: all styles come with recycled fibres and are designed to be durable, to last through the downhill adventures of several kids.
The ski garments and accessories feature all the necessary details for snowsports. This together with the excellent water and dirt repellence of the materials makes them strong favourites on all Reima’s markets.
