Haglöfs: Haglöfs first with adaptable insoles in all footwear, New premium backpacks from Haglöfs, Haglöfs makes sleeping bags especially for women, Haglöfs’ Soft Shell now available for every area of use
Published on January 29, 2009 | Tags: HaglöfsFrom the spring of 2009, Haglöfs will fit all its footwear with insoles that simply adapt to the shape of a foot and thus combat impact injuries. Haglöfs is the first manufacturer of outdoor footwear to introduce this innovation., The insoles are from the global brand SOLE. They adapt to each individual and have a number of important comfort and health-promoting characteristics., • An anatomical shape that supports the entire foot, from toe to heel., • Arch supports that prevent the arch of the foot from falling at each step. The arch supports counter harmful uneven impact., • A deep heel cup stabilizes the foot in the shoe at the same time as, it reinforces the heel's natural shock-absorbing ability., Relief for the whole body, The anatomical shape means that SOLE corrects poor posture and distributes body weight so that harmful individual pressure points do not arise., A traditional insole cannot provide the same support because it does not adapt to the foot. SOLE's anatomical shape provides support which contributes to a better foot angle, which in turn is able to reduce the risk of injury to feet, knees, hips and the back., Adapts to the foot, The unique insole material actually takes on the shape of the wearer's foot. Before it is used for the first time the insole can be warmed in an oven for a couple of minutes at 90°C. Adaptation to the foot also takes place gradually as the footwear is worn., With this new insole Haglöfs' already renowned outdoor footwear takes another giant step forward in development. Something that previously required an extra investment can now be taken care of by the right choice of outdoor footwear., Haglöfs' Top-Of-The-Line collection is now strengthened with two new backpacks for demanding tours., The newcomers are each other's opposites when it comes to areas of use, but they are equally able to manage extreme challenges without being extremely complicated., Sumo – for really heavy loads, Haglöfs' new Sumo backpack is heavy in every sense of the word, except when it comes to its own weight. Sumo is made for expeditions and other long tours that require heavy, bulky loads, and it has all the characteristics the demanding user needs:, • Its carrying system is Haglöfs most well equipped. The Contact™ Pro Adjustable System has extra broad, upholstered shoulder straps. Padding for the back is built up from double layers of ventilated cell foam to provide pleasant carrying comfort., • And with a Spear™ weight distribution system, load can be shifted from the shoulder straps to the hip belt., • Backpack contents can be reached through an opening along one side, without the need to open the top cover., • The top cover can be removed and used as a waist bag on shorter excursions or summit attacks., • And of course Sumo has Haglöfs unique snow lock and closure under the top cover that can be opened single-handed. So easy to use you can keep your gloves on next time you need to get into your backpack., Sumo is available in two sizes, 75 and 95 litres. Weights 3.15 or 3.40 kg., Roc – Haglöfs' new backpack for mountaineers, Pure and simple were the watchwords when Haglöfs' designed the new Roc. Prominent mountaineers took part in the development efforts, and made sure maximum functionality led the choice of every detail. Above all Haglöfs focused on safety, both for the carrier and his climbing companions. For example, the top cover opening is located at the top centre to reduce the risk of equipment falling out onto team members below., The goal was to create a versatile backpack for both summer and winter use. Thanks to the backpack's ability to change shape, either by overpacking or by compaction, depending on the amount of equipment, Roc acts both as a means of transport to the rock face and as a companion on the trail., Roc is available in two sizes, 25 and 35 litres. Weights 1.40 or 1.50 kg., The spring of 2009 will see the launch of Haglöfs' Q series – a completely new line of sleeping bags especially for women., The Q series has a fit that is somewhat broader at the hip and narrower at the shoulder., "And by special request from our female users the Q series also has extra thick insulation in the lower section, to keep feet warm and snug," says Richard Jägrud at Haglöfs., Haglöfs Q series are available with down or synthetic filling., Easier to choose a sleeping bag, From the spring of 2009 Haglöfs will introduce a new marking system to make it even easier for the consumer to select the right sleeping bag., "Our sleeping bags are now sorted into categories with a clear and simple system of marking that shows what they are intended for - whether the sleeping bag is suitable for spring/autumn, summer or winter.", "We have also put a lot of effort into improving the warmth-for-weight ratio. This is most noticeable in Goga 3S, top of the range among our down sleeping bags," says Richard Jägrud at Haglöfs., One of Soft Shell's strengths is its broad range of applications. In the spring of 2009 Haglöfs takes another step forward. Several products in Haglöfs Soft Shell range will be made in thinner, more flexible materials from the spring of 2009. Products have been adapted to maximize flexibility and agility, with varying degrees of protection against the elements, by new combinations of materials, so that the user is able to get as much use as possible from the new garment. There is a Haglöfs Soft Shell product available for every area of use., – The development of materials and combinations with different characteristics means that everyone can find a Soft Shell product that offers extremely broad areas of use., – The exceptionally supple FlexAble™ is an example of a material that has helped develop several products in Haglöfs' Soft Shell range. And the fact that many of the garments have become thinner makes them even better suited to spring and summer activities., News from the spring collection, 2009, • Cobra jacket. A new jacket in a new mix of materials. The combination of FlexAble™ and Polartec® Power Shield® provides a very elastic, flexible jacket with high wind protection and good breathability., • Weasel hood. A combination of Windstopper® Soft Shell and FlexAble™ produces a soft and supple jacket that also offers good wind protection. Suitable for those exposed excursions where you need more wind protection., • Turbine hood is thin but still combines high wind and water protection with good insulating properties. Turbine Hood is tailored in Windstopper® Soft Shell with two different thicknesses for optimum agility., • Haglöfs is also introducing a new line of pants in its Soft Shell range. Three are tailored in FlexAble™ and one in Windstopper® Soft Shell.
