Two of the products that Haglöfs will launch this autumn are off to a flying start. More specifically, the Reptile Hood and Treble Q Hood were recognized with the Polartec® Apex Award for 2008., , The award is presented to the designers and companies that make “the most outstanding Polartec® based products”. The jury selected two of Haglöfs’ jackets from among all the products that will be available in stores this autumn 2008., , In addition to design, the products are judged for their innovation, functionality, features, fit and comfort., , The Reptile Hood jacket is a simple softshell that is high on performance. Polartec® Power Shield® fabric provides a full range of motion, breathability, weather protection and durability. The micro fleece grid back offers enhanced thermal capacity and an ingenious full zipper hood with a foam-supported peak increases the Reptile’s versatility., , The Treble Q Hood by Haglöfs is the perfect midweight layer that is warm and stylish enough to be worn as an outer jacket. The Treble Q features Polartec® Classic Micro fleece for exceptional, lightweight warmth and breathability, combined with Polartec® Power Stretch® for mobility and a bulk-free fit., , As the first manufacturer of outdoor footwear, Haglöfs is equipping from spring 2009 all of its footwear with insoles that adapt to the form of the foot. The soles come from the world brand name Sole and provide, besides individual adaptation, a series of important comfort and health promoting characteristics., • It has an orthopaedic form that supports the entire foot, from toe to heel., • A built-up arch support prevents the arch of the foot from sinking down in the step and counteracts harmful uneven loads., • A deep heel cup stabilises the foot in the shoe and reinforces the heel’s natural shock absorbing ability., An orthopaedic form takes care of the whole body., A regular footbed does not provide any support and cannot adapt itself to the foot. And when contact between the foot sole and footwear is not optimal, the body’s reaction will be to try and correct the error higher up, in the ankles, then the lower part of the leg, knee, hips and back, in a chain that gradually risks being felt throughout the whole body. The orthopaedic form in Sole corrects incorrect adjustments and distributes the weight of the body to eliminate any pressure points.
